Iron ores that contain less than 50 percent iron are usually concentrated (to 60 percent iron) by magnetic separation or gravity dressing. Powdery and sulfurous (> percent sulfur) rich ores, as well as beneficiation concentrates, are made into lumps by sintering; so-called pelleted iron ore is . B / Clark, H. Iron isn't the only element that displayscobalt, gadolinium, terbium, and dysprosium are also ferromagnetic. As with iron, the magnetic properties of these elements depends on their crystal structure and whether the metal is below its Curie point.
α-iron, cobalt, and nickel are ferromagnetic, while γ-iron, manganese, and chromium are antiferromagnetic. Iron ores are rocks and minerals from which metallic iron can be economically extracted. The ores are usually rich in iron oxides and vary in color from dark grey, bright yellow, or deep purple to rusty red.
The iron is usually found in the form of magnetite (Fe 3 O 4, % Fe), hematite (Fe 2 O 3, % Fe), goethite (FeO(OH), % Fe), limonite (FeO(OH)n(H 2 O), 55% Fe) or siderite (FeCO.

The band consists of drummer Carlene Harrell, bassist “Chief” Bell, and singer / guitarist / songwriter Butch Harrell. Grayson County, The territory under consideration, Grayson County, Virginia, is about miles from the tidewater of the Atlantic Coast, measured on the boundary line between the states of Virginia and North Carolina, which distance would almost reach from Grayson County to both Norfolk, Va., and Wilmington, N.C.A large portion of the upland areas of the Tennessee River Valley, from Stewart to Decatur counties, has long been the source of a brown iron ore from which special grades of pig iron, such as charcoal iron, high silicon, and high-iron ferro-phosphorus have been smelted and cast, and then shipped to northern and western destinations.
Considerable ore deposits remain distributed throughout. On the south side id the State boundary line between Virginia and North Carolina; east it is bounded by Carroll County, and west there is a small length bordering with the State of Tennessee, being separated from it by irregular ranges of lofty mountains belonging to the Unaka system.
